ABOUT THE BENTLEYS
In 2003, the band released their first CD of original material. The disc was recorded and produced with the help of John Wolf (AKA. Math and Science). Immediately, the Bentleys played scores of shows up and down California and gained more fans through their web page on MySpace. The band also received airplay from college stations and Indie 103.1 FM, and landed a live perfor- mance on LATV. They also began performing at famous venues such as the Roxy and the Echo.
By 2005 the band was working hard to complete their long-awaited follow-up, "Mid-Flight Rock EP," with the help of Wolf's mixing and drumming talents. The following year the band began playing high-profile shows at the Knitting Factory and gaining attention from local press such as LA CityBeat and The Daily News. Around the same time songwriters and guitarists Ron and Dennis performed live on Indie 103.1 FM, which helped them gain more fans. The beginning of 2007 looked especially promising after making their debut performance at the world-famous Troubadour. Soon after that the Bentleys started work on their next CD.
They now plan on recording more material while adding national dates for live performances. Musically, they are still looking forward. The Bentleys are meticulously crafting a new, improved sound that blends their indie-rock influences, love of classic pop, and their unstoppable knack for energetic, memo- rable tunes that speak to the heart but ignite souls. While music fans wait around for some hack band to emerge as the next big or next best thing, the Bentleys are poised to become the next band that MATTERS.
